Circa 1820.  This 40’x80' barn is the last of four Mosher barns at Mosher Corner in Gorham, Maine.  The frame will be re-assembled (after dismantle, cleaning and repair) at the Shaw Brothers Family Foundation Farm in the spring of 2022.   The classic gable entry barn utilizes the English Tying joint with full 40’ ties and full 80’ plates!   The common rafter system utilizes a braced king post truss at each bent that supports a structural ridge.  This is a wonderful example of a early Yankee Barn that will be preserved for centuries to come.
